The Italianist's annual Film Issue represents the richness of Italian film history and  promotes productive and innovative ways of studying that history. It offers scholars from different disciplines an arena in which to gather in order to celebrate and interrogate a common fascination with one of the great traditions of audio-visual narrative.

Romance Studies
Two part

special 
issue  on  story telling.

The last two issues of 2010 are dedicated to the study of storytelling. They expose this seemingly simple process as a rich and complex venture that raises a number of questions, some ontological. The two issues work to show that storytelling can provide a framework for disciplines such as philosophy, literature and history.

Italian Studies is moving to three issues per year. The third issue is dedicated to Italian cultural studies. By extending the range of cultural forms studied and embracing the popular as well as the canonical, this issue of the journal aims to provide a home for, and assist the development of, pioneering and innovative work that falls within the broad ambit of Cultural Studies.
