Tropical medicine journals to be renamed Pathogens and Global Health and Annals of Tropical Paediatrics will relaunch as Paediatrics and International Child Health.
To celebrate these relaunches, visit our Feature of the Month: Infectious Diseases & Global Health page throughout October. We are featuring interviews with key industry figures, highlights of hot topics in the field, discounted subscriptions, and free journal articles!
These title changes represent a shift in modern international medicine and health concerns. Several infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, AIDS, influenza and pneumonia represent worldwide health problems that require global solutions. Diseases that may previously have been referred to as 'tropical' are not necessarily confined solely to those countries that have a tropical climate, hence the new titles which have a broader geographical focus.
