Monday 28th March, 2007 Leeds, UK
Maney Publishing acquires English Heritage Research Transactions
Maney Publishing is to publish the English Heritage Research Transactions series, previously published by Earthscan/James & James (Science Publishers) Ltd.
This latest acquisition follows an agreement earlier in the year by which Maney acquired Earthscan's archaeology journals and full heritage book list.
The series, launched in 1998, aims to bring the latest developments in building conservation research to architects, conservators, scientists, builders, engineers and policy makers. Each volume focuses on a specific material and presents primary findings from pioneering research work carried out by English Heritage, and case study reports from practical conservation work carried out on the English Heritage estate. Forthcoming volumes will cover wall paintings and mortars. For more information on the series please visit www.maney.co.uk/series/ehrt.
English Heritage Research Transactions will complement Maney's strong archaeology list and will develop its range in the field of conservation. Michael Gallico, Managing Director of Maney Publishing, is delighted at the acquisition: “It is very exciting for us to be working with English Heritage. The Research Transactions series is a valuable resource for heritage conservation which is an asset to our list, and we look forward to working with editors to publish new titles later in the year.”
The series is available to buy from Oxbow Books and the David Brown Book Company. Visit www.oxbowbooks.com for more information.
