PRESS RELEASE
Maney Publishing announces eight new journals for 2007
Leeds, UK, 9 January 2007
Maney Publishing enhances its dynamic publishing schedule in 2007 with the addition of eight titles to its list in materials sciences, humanities and healthcare. The new journals are Exemplaria: A Journal of Theory in Medieval and Renaissance Studies, The Hardy Review, Materials Research Innovations, Materials Technology, The Pain Clinic, Seventeenth-Century French Studies, Survey Review and Tribology - Materials, Surfaces and Interfaces.
Michael Gallico, Managing Director of Maney, said: “The acquisition of eight new journals is a real boost to the range and quality of our publishing list. It demonstrates Maney's reputation for exacting standards and dedication to the aims of the societies and editors for whom we publish.”
These latest additions bring the company's journal list to over seventy titles, making Maney one of the biggest independent academic publishers outside London. Michael attributes this success to “a unique personalised service and attention to detail, which makes us attractive to prospective journals, and competitive with larger publishing companies.”
Tribology - Materials, Surfaces and Interfaces is a brand new journal published jointly by Maney and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and will be a leading journal in this relatively new field. At the end of 2006 Maney purchased The Pain Clinic, Materials Research Innovations and Materials Technology. The Thomas Hardy Association, the Society for Seventeenth-Century French Studies and the University of Florida are the latest groups to choose to publish with Maney. For more information about the journals, please visit www.maney.co.uk/journals.
All of these journals will join the MORE (Maney Online Research E-journals) collections where universities and institutions can access the journal content online. Please visit www.maney.co.uk/licensing for more information.
