Tribology - Materials, Surfaces & Interfaces (TRB) announces its

Online Manuscript Submission, Tracking and

Peer Review System

 

Leeds, UK, 4 October 2006

We are pleased to announce the introduction of the Online Manuscript Submission, Tracking and Peer Review System forTribology- Materials, Surfaces & Interfaces(TRB). Contributors have the benefit of being able to upload papers direct to the journal by registering at the system homepage:http://trib.edmgr.com.

The system is designed to speed the processing of submissions by facilitating electronic refereeing and streamlining communication with the author and coordination throughout the publication process. Authors can check the progress of submissions online.

Full guidance on the submission procedure, including tutorials and instructions to authors, is available via links from http://trib.edmgr.com. A range of file formats is supported, but authors are advised to check the specific requirements before submitting, particularly regarding artwork presentation and quality. Please view the Notes for Contributors for further information.

Launching in 2007, Tribology - Materials, Surfaces & Interfaces is a brand new journal from Maney Publishing and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining will be at the forefront of the growing area of tribology. Focusing on the nature of tribochemical, tribophysical and tribocorrosion reactions,Tribology - Materials, Surfaces & Interfaces will meet the needs of both academic and industrial research. By taking an engineering perspective, the journal aims to integrate tribological processes with physical, chemical and electrochemical processes to lead to a fuller understanding of the entire system of interfacial reactions.
